December 2016 Holiday Memories Gift Gallery
December 2016 the final month of the year. It has always been a favorite month of mine. Some of my most favorite memories happened in the month of December. Christmas spirit, some of my favorite memories are of this season. I always love decorating the house finding new ways using the same decorations to make the house better than the year before. I enjoyed watching all the holiday movies and yes cartoons when I was a child and later with my children as they grew up.
During this season I learned a lot of the type of person I wanted to be as I grew up. I learned that no matter how small or big the way you interact with people always has a effect on them. You may never know how your interactions would ever effect their life but in some way it does. The movie It’s A Wonderful Life is a perfect example of how this could happen.
I enjoyed watching tv while my mother and father prepared a big meal. I would watch my favorite holiday movies and tv specials. Each week before Christmas there were different specials to watch. My favorites were It’s a Wonderful Life, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, and as I grew up my love for Christmas time and Christmas movies has grown. Each year I search for all my favorite movies about Christmas and enjoy watching all the new movies made and to find more to add as my favorites.

Another favorite memory I have around this time is Christmas music. Every year around the holidays and especially in December for Christmas my mother would have her record player. Yes I said record player.
We would have an outside speaker attached to the wall of the house and she would play her records with holiday songs and the whole neighborhood could hear the music. It became a holiday tradition in our neighborhood. I also remember another in our neighborhood that would have a toy train display in his basement and every Christmas all the children in the neighborhood was invited to see all the new additions he added throughout the year. I really miss these holiday traditions and the neighborhood I grew up in.
